The pace of life slows as soon as you enter this little basement restaurant, which opened way back in 1946.
Inspired by its theatrical roots, the menus at Prompt Corner have been divided into four acts.
Act I is comprised of a range of starters and Act II refers to chicken and fish dishes.
For the gourmands among you, Act III is where you’ll find the succulent, fresh Scottish steaks, and if you have any room left, Act IV covers sweets, cheeses and coffees.
Prompt Corner also caters to dietary requirements, and the current specials board offers a three-course meal, including wine, for two people for £50.
