Radiating a vibrant shade of orange and laden with intricately-designed ashtrays, lamps, mirrors and wrought ironwork, the Cous Cous House is divided into two parts, one with Moroccan-style low sofas and the other a more traditional restaurant affair with tables and chairs.
Starters are all £3.95 and include prawn briouates and carrot salad soaked in garlic and herbs. But if you fancy trying a bit of everything, there’s a starter menu to share.
Among the mains, which range from £7.95 to £12.95 for fish dishes, look out for the grilled chicken or lamb, served with rice and salad, and the royal couscous with chicken lamb and sausage. Mixed grill and tagine dishes are also available.
