When you have customers continually returning, you know you must be doing something right. And Kemp Brasserie owner Nick Monti feels its success is largely down to its laidback service and the quality produce used.
The menu may also help, with its light bites such as home-made burgers, crepes and chilli con carne available for £8.95, as well as a two-course set lunch menu for the same price. Among numerous specials is the restaurant’s rotating game dish, which can include meats such as venison and partridge, depending on seasonal availability.
Kemp Brasserie also does a roaring Sunday lunch trade with its “Jazz Brunch” from noon to 6pm. If diners don’t fancy a roast dinner there’s a full English breakfast or dishes such as eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine. Booking ahead is essential.
And there’s plenty of variety in the dessert department with home-made treats like bread and butter pudding or sticky toffee pudding, plus irresistible chocolate fondue.
