LA MARINADE

Featured in the likes of OK magazine, La Marinade’s popularity seems more than secure in the hands of Nick Lang, whose career has seen him cook for Madonna, David Bowie and Hugh Grant.

With its combination of modern European cuisine and cosy, tasteful surroundings, La Marinade continues to draw swathes of Brighton’s foodies to its door.

Among items on the a la carte menu, you’ll find starters such as seafood pasta in a rich fish cream (£7.50).

Mains include fillet of 28-day hung Scottish beef with wild mushrooms, French fries, mixed leaves and 12-year-old balsamic (£16.50) and cannon of lamb stuffed with ortiz anchovies marinated in rosemary and garlic with aubergine parmigiano and parmentier potatoes.

(£15.50). Desserts include banana and sesame flambe (£4.95), and creme brulee (£4.95).

There’s also a three-course set menu for £15, along with regular specials.
