Historic Gravetye Manor is set in 1,000 acres of beautiful, naturally-landscaped gardens. But step inside and you’re in a different world.

A member of prestigious hotel association Relais & Chateaux, the Manor offers a three-course a la carte meal in the Michelin-starred restaurant for £49, plus service charge.

Guests could start with the mosaic of spring rabbit, foie gras and spiced peach served with rhubarb and orange relish, before moving on to the fillet of Angus beef served with aubergine caviar, roasted red peppers and confit of plum tomatoes.

Then there’s the option of finishing up with a tasty treat such as the hot banana soufflé or the lightly poached pear.
