A long-time favourite of television presenter Zoe Ball and DJ Norman Cook, this restaurant has a chilled-out ambience, while the Japanese staff are friendly and informal.
Appetisers include oshitashi (rolled spinach topped with roasted sesame seeds and nonito flakes, £4.50), and nikku gyoza (pork and vegetable dumplings, £4.95). Main courses include Okinami tempura (king prawns, vegetables and fish deep fried in a light batter, £13.95), and yaki soba (thin egg noodles stir-fried with chicken, pork, seafood or vegetables, £8.95).
There’s also a more unusual selection of mains, including grilled mackerel with grated radish, ramen and soy sauce (£9.95).
