Pascal Madjoudj’s Parisian style cafe provides an elegant yet informal place to relax with a cup of coffee and a croissant.

Specialising in traditional French pastries, savoury dishes such as quiche, croquet monsieur, filled baguettes and soup are also available.

But it is the cakes that draw the eye. Among them you’ll find tarte au citron (£2.25), chocolate eclair (£1.75), mille feuille (£1.75/£3.25) and black forest gateau (£3), alongside the Samba (double chocolate mousse) and Arabica (duo of chocolate and coffee mousse with a chocolate cream), both £3.

There is also a counter full of hand-made Belgian chocolates, sold either individually (65p) or by weight (£4 for 100g).
