French-Algerian chef Pascal Nourdine Madjoudi first opened classic French restaurant La Fourchette, followed by the Moroccan-themed Mascara. But he returned to the kitchen to combine both ideas within Nounou, which serves a combination of French and Moroccan cuisine.
Starters, which can also be ordered in larger portions and eaten as main courses, include goat’s cheese croustillant (£5.50/£9), and tagine of marinated lamb (£5/.50/£9), while full main courses include L’Ham Mechouie (a Moroccan lamb dish for two, £28), and Le Couscous de Marrakech (£10.50).
Comfy sofas and Moroccan-style seating add to the restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere, and you can pop in for a drink any time. You’ll be spoilt for choice when you do, as Nounou serves 120 cocktails, along with 85 wines and champagnes.
