Stirring up the Latin spirit, Las Iguanas is part of a chain of award-winning restaurants which aims to recreate the Rio party experience.

Adding to the atmosphere is a Brazilian soundtrack and lively decor, while the food shows influences from Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Cuba.

Chicken and steak get the Latin treatment along with favourites such as fajitas.

Starters include Quesofrito (tortilla parcels filled with brie and mango, £4.50) and Duckaquitos (£4.90). Toasted sandwiches include Ceasar chicken and carne steak.

The menu has plenty for children, vegetarians and those with allergies. There’s also two-for-one cocktail deals during happy hour (Tue-Sat, noon until 7.30pm and all day Sun/Mon).
