This tiny tapas joint is squeezed in between the Wagon and Horses and The Black Horse and although it’s tricky to get a table, its ramshackle charm makes a refreshing change.
The menu features Spanish omelette; anchovies on bread and chorizo; casserole of the day; D’Tapa toast and, if ordered in advance, paella. Prices begin at £2.50 for starters.

You can find take-home treats sold at producers’ prices, and wines are discounted by 20 per cent on Sundays.As well as sherry vinegar and olive oil, there is also membrillo, chorizo, manchego cheese, tuna and even hand-painted crockery to choose from.
