Open seven evenings a week, and for lunch every day except Mondays and Tuesdays, Sopar Thai serves more than 60 traditional dishes from Thailand.
Starters include Tod Mum Kaopoad (deep-fried curried sweetcorn, £4) and Sopar mussels (mussels cooked with lemon grass, galangal, kaffir leaves and green chillies, £5.50). Salads are one of the most popular main dishes on offer, and they have a real kick, which chilli fans should appreciate.
Other mains include Nua Sadung (sirloin beef, thinly-sliced and served with mixed vegetables in oyster sauce) and Sua Rong Hai (bite-sized slices of grilled beef served with a dip of fish sauce and ground chilli), both £8.50.
Vegetarian dishes include roasted aubergines in a sweet and spicy sauce (£5). Rice and noodles are priced between £1.50 and £8.50 and desserts are just £2 each.
